Twitter Plans To Onboard Users With “Instant Timeline”, Launch More DM Features And Standalone Apps

Twitter’s plan to fix its growth problem, which is really a new user retention problem, is called “Instant Timeline”, and it will jumpstart users with a feed full of interesting content even if they haven’t followed anyone yet. On Twitter’s Analyst Day call, it also announced it plans more messaging features, potentially including the ability to DM a tweet to someone so they can have a private conversation about public content. Twitter also plans to launch more standalone apps like Vine to strengthen its ecosystem.
